  • Gather necessary documents: The documents generally required include a valid passport, a recent photo, a round-trip flight ticket, proof of accommodation, and an invitation letter if you are invited by a person or organization in Tanzania.
  • Fill out the visa application: You can fill out the visa application online on the Tanzanian government website https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/. The Tanzanian embassy in France, located in Paris, no longer issues visas. The process is done solely online to obtain an e-visa.

It is essential to ensure that all information on your passport is accurate and matches the information on your visa application form. No errors are allowed on the application form, as it will render it invalid. Tanzanian authorities may refuse entry if errors are detected, particularly with regard to the passport holder’s name, date of birth, expiration date, passport number, and place of issuance. Therefore, it is crucial to carefully check all information and make any necessary corrections before submitting a visa application.

In addition to being valid, it is imperative that your passport has a remaining validity of at least six months from the date of your arrival in the country. This means that if your passport expires within the next six months, you will need to renew it before applying for a visa to Tanzania.

Step 4

In this step, you are required to provide information about your place of accommodation. You can provide the contact details of the hotel you will be staying at. Make sure to check the entry and exit dates on your visa and comply with the conditions of your visa during your stay in Tanzania.

Step 5:

The documents to provide:

  • Valid passport
  • Recent photo
  • Round-trip flight ticket

Step 6:

Pay the visa fees: Visa fees vary depending on your nationality and the duration of your stay. You must pay the fees online when submitting your visa application. Processing times may vary depending on your nationality and the duration of your stay, so it is recommended to submit your visa application well in advance of your trip.

After reading and ticking the “consent declaration” section, you will receive your e-visa within 4 to 15 days depending on the situation. And you could print it out to present to the customs authorities.
